February is American Heart Month, a federally designated event, which is a great way to remind Americans to focus on their hearts and encourage them to get their families, friends and communities involved. Together, we can build a culture of health where making the healthy choice is the easy choice. Beyond Borders

Madison Little is always searching beyond what is in front of him; physically and intellectually. Throughout his youth, the senior from Crosswicks, New Jersey, received premium medical treatment as he suffered from a chronic illness. The experience got Little wondering about how he would have fared if he lived somewhere else.  Primarily, why wouldn’t someone elsewhere in the world, or in the United States, receive the same care he had?

One of the most important actions you can take toward maintaining a healthy heart is physical activity. To celebrate Heart Month, we invite you to increase the number of daily steps you take, and join us in achieving 50 million steps across the network. Rutgers Against Hunger

Rutgers Against Hunger (RAH) is a universitywide initiative working to address the issues of hunger across the state of New Jersey. By bringing together the resources of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, RAH works to increase awareness of hunger, encourage activism and service to tackle hunger, stimulate research to assist those in need, and provide immediate relief through food drives and other events to raise money and collect food.
